We try to collect as little as possible. On first launch the app generates an anonymous device UUID locally. We use it only to count how many free installs a device has used. It is not tied to a name, email, or any other identifier.

No account is required to use modbot. We only collect an email address at the point of payment, and we collect it through Stripe Checkout. Stripe holds the card data. We never see card numbers.

The app reads your local Minecraft installation folder so it can install mods into it. Your save files, worlds, and game data do not leave your computer.

Mod files are downloaded from the Modrinth API on your behalf. That involves standard HTTP traffic between your computer and Modrinth, subject to their own terms.

We do not run analytics or tracking at present. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before any tracking is added.
